International Widows Day

Whether you know a widow or are a widow yourself, you will deeply feel these stories.

As our sincere thanks for your gift of $100 or more today, you'll receive a copy of our new book, "Legendary Widows: Stories of Legacy."

The book honors accomplished and renowned widows who have had a profound influence on millions of widows around the world, all searching for inspiration and light.

Since 2011 the United Nations has observed June 23 as International Widows Day to draw attention to the voices, experiences, and realities of widowed women. It's an important opportunity to acknowledge the estimated 258 million widows around the globe.

In the United States, 1 million women become widowed every year. At nearly 12 million, the U.S. widow population surpasses that of New York City, the country’s most populated metropolis.

(Please note, book shipments will begin on July 25, publication date.)
